ANCA PEDVIS has published poetry in all major literary magazines in Romania. She has three collections of poetry: "An Imperceptible Whif of Socrates" (Romanian Book Press, 1997), "The Mount Placid Tirade", a bilingual edition (Romanian Cultural Foundation Publishing House, 2003), and "Propilog" ( Bucharest, Ideea Europeana , 2006). As an artist Anca Pedvis had several one woman shows in Bucharest and Paris, and has participated in numerous group shows all over the world. In 1979 she received the UNESCO Prize at The Grand Prix International d’Art Contemporain in Monte-Carlo and in 1986 the Mary Hathaway Award at the Annual Juried Exhibition in Greenwich, CT. The prestigious Romanian magazine "Vatra" dedicated its August 2004 issue to Anca Pedvis’ work as a poet, translator, fiction writer and artist. She lives and works in New York.
